(Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a tall yellowish off-white head. Aroma of weed, pineapple, florals, and citrus. Flavor of caramel, citrus, grass, grain, dank, earth, and pineapple with a dry, bitter finish. onceblind (10528) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 25, 2011
GABF 2011. clear darkish gold with a lasting head. Superb aroma of juicy hoppy citrus, resiny and floral, but also has a ton of caramalt and candy sugar. Flavor has a lot of grapefruit, bitter floral resin, and overall very hoppy, has a bit of herbalness to it too. Pretty low on malty sweetness, even though the body is huge. Just too uneven and sharp and a little high on alcohol for it’s imbalance. All said, it has a really tasty hop character.

Draft at Pizza Port Ocean Beach with Andrew, Brendan and the big boy daddy dad Bachelor, Dallas. Pours an orange body with thin white lacing. Aroma is juicy citrus and super, super fresh pine. Mouthfeel is juicy and refreshing with notes of pine and citrus hops. BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 17, 2011
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 On tap at GABF as "When the Wife’s Away" and later at the brewpub (that rating is coming soon). Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a white head that lasts. Good lace as well. Aromas are floral, a bit sweet, dank, CTZ, and citrus. Flavors show a small hint of diacetyl, caramel, a bit grassy, mango and dank CTZ. Medium bubbles with a dry finish. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - APR 21, 2011
On tap at the source. Pours with a clear golden body with a small white head that lasts and leaves good lace. Aromas are hugely dank, floral, citrus, tangerine, mango and some honey notes. Flavors are a bit sweeter than I like, some crystal like malt, fruity, citrus papaya. Medium to slightly lively bubbles, medium bodied. Mild butterscotch/diacetyl as it warms (which I forgot that I had noted at GABF, but it was there in both samples in Denver and at the brewpub (subtle). Pretty good IPA overall.
On tap at PP San Clemente. It pours orange with an off white head. The aroma is peachy and grassy with some hints of malted grain. The flavor is peachy and grassy with a touch of doughy grains and a nice grassy bitter finish.

big piney nose. Big full bodied. Hops tickle the throat. Big bitterness. Decent beer. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Clear golden with a creamy white head. Huge pine aroma and taste with notes of lemon and caramel. nickd717 (4886) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 12, 2011
Draft. I understand this sentiment, as I too try to get my ticks in when the wife’s not around. Hazy copper in color with a one-finger white head and good lacing. The aroma is sweet with a substantial hop punch of citrusy and herbal notes. The flavor is a bit on the malty/sweet side for a San Diego area IPA. Good hop punch though of orange, peach, and grapefruit. Medium-plus bodied and could use just a tad more carbonation if you ask me. Solid attempt but not quite Pizza Port level. chibuck (3521) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2011
Thanks to Alex via Shane for this growler poured into a perfect pint glass...Medium gold pour, murky, A light tan head, really good cap, light lacing, looks pretty decent...The aroma is full of musky hops, I think its wet hopped, grapefruit rings, and lots of fresh cut grass...The taste is more musky wet grass, really hoppy, becomes a little unbalanced as most of the citrus notes are gone. Epitome of a west coast ipa...A really nice full, musky, rough feel, I like it.
Not my favorite type of ipa with all wet hops and grass, but its really fresh and refreshing so I’d have recommend having this.
