brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is floral with a decent amount of citrus peel. Some tangerine and grapefruit, a little bit of grass, some bread, and toasted malt sweetness. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side for an IPA. A fair amount of bread and toast. Light pine bitterness, grapefruit, and tangerine citrus notes. A fairly floral hop profile to this, too. Light orange peel and a bit of grass.

No head, slightly foggy amber color, sticky dank hop aroma, cascades, alcohol tastes much higher tan 6.5 on this batch, floral orange flavor, dank, flowers ... Had this on cask too, the cask version was not nearly as bright and fruity with hop flavor and aroma, the bitter stood out much more on cask b/c of the drop out of hop flavor and aroma over time, I much preferred the fresh to the cask

draft at pp solana beach on nye. Another in a long line of great ipa’s from pp. Very good.

trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 2, 2009
Picked up a growler for New Year’s. Pours clear gold with orange highlights. Medium-sized white head, creamy, good lacing. Perfumey aroma, mostly grapefruit and pineapple, some lemongrass, with a lesser amount of pine. Taste was clean. Very hoppy; resiny flavor without the stickiness. Nice strong citrus bite, grapefruit again, but with more lemon/orange than in the nose. Kind of veggie/wood middle. The lack of a caramel malt sweetness was satisfying and a welcome change. Nice mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Easily polished off the growler, so it was drinkable. Loved it.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel linger.

On tap at PP Solana. Frothy amber color. Wonderful smooth lightly sweet flavor. Great hoppy flavor, with medium bitterness. Easy to drink. Excellent.

doubleo (1432) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 10, 2008
On-tap at PPSB. Pours amber with a moderate sized, offwhite head, spider web lace. Smells very citrusy and sweet. Orange with a grass backing. Tastes very citrusy and nice. Orange again, with a touch of grass. Mostly hops, but I think there is a solid malt backbone in there as well, sweet. Medium body, good carbonation.

goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - OCT 26, 2007
GABF 2007: Poured a lightly hazed golden color with an off-white head. The beer had a huge fresh hop aroma. Piney, citrus, and sweaty. The malt was light in the flavor. Decent piney and earthy hops. Medium bodied.

riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 23, 2007
Orangish color. Strong sweat sock hops in the nose. Fruity flavors of apricots, tangerines, and a bitter grapefruity finish.
