Editors note: previously brewed at Nstvedbryggeriet Fniks.

Danish: Kakerlakpuler fra Pladderballe Bryghus er en dejlig kraftig og fyldig stout. Her er ikke sparet p den hrdt ristede malt der giver den sorte farve og kaffenoter. Her er ogs anvendt caramel-malt. Kombinationen giver noter af karamel/lakrids. llen er hndbrygget p gammeldaws maner. Den er ufiltreret, upasteuriseret og er eftergret p flasken. Der vil derfor forekomme bundfald.

Dark brown. Thick, whipped foam. Very rich and fruity aroma, a distinct scent of dark berries, ditto taste. Despite this, the brew does not linger very long on the palate.

Bottle. It pours a huge, creamy, light beige head over a more or less black body. Some lacings. The aroma is burnt and sourish, with some dark dried fruits, some licorice and a touch of roasted bread. The flavor is on the malty side, some caramel and burnt notes, a little bit of molasses as well, but mostly roasted. Full body, nice carbonation level. Roasted finish with molasses. A quite pleasant beer, but I suspect it was on its way to go bad. 120413

500ml bottle by the courtesy of Skinnyviking. A brownish shade to a jet black body. Quickly diminishing tan-coloured head. Inviting aroma of chocolate malts, slightly roasted. Grainy chocolate malts in flavour with dark fruity bitterness behind. Liquorice bitterness on the swallow. Quite alright last beer during some great drinking days in Copenhagen (hotel room, 13.05.2012).
