On bottle. Drank 9 months after the "Best Before" date. Pours black with small foam. A bit watery, but a nice roasted malty taste. Hints of chocolate. Stays in the mouth for a while.

En rigtig fin porter. Ikke rigtig porter skal have fylde og dybde, det har denne øl også.

Bottle @ Rørvig w friends/klanen. Appearance: pours clear darkbrown with powerful beige soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, chocolate, light coffeeand licorice. palette: strong roasted malty aroma, average to sparkling carbonation, medium to full body, average to notable sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: quite good sweet stout.

Bottle. 5.5%. Best before 03.03.17. Pours a clear, dark reddish brown with a tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish, malty aroma with a hop note in the background. Metallic overtone as it warms. Further warming brings out light notes of bread and wood. Flavour is sweet and malty with a spicy touch. Light sweet liquorice note. Light molasses as it warms. Feels a wee bit watery. Same finish, mildly bitter. A bit too much carbonation. 24.08.16.

50 cl bottle poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with dark malts, chocolate, coffee and caramel malts. Some cookies. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with dark malts, liquorice and roasted notes. Pretty straightforward Porter, nice and uncomplicated.

DroolYeast (1596) - Odder, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2016

Backlog. Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 31.03.13. Dark brown to black. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and prune compote. Taste of dark chocolate with some coffe. Coffee and moderate bitterness lingering on in long aftertaste. Appropriately low carbonation. High drinkability.

Foam is obviously very rich and beautiful. The taste is nice malty and has good filling of licorice. Slightly dominate towards the end and it’s a lovely rich porter which I certainly like to taste again.
