Bottle, 50cl. Pours hazy dark brown, beige creamy head. Sweet, malty caramel aroma with dark, ripe fruits, figs, date, nuts, light roasted. Dark, malt flavour, caramel and chocolate. Finish is rather bitter and dry. Quite pleasant mouthfeel, smooth and creamy on the tongue with soft carbonation.

olsvammel (7220) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 16, 2014
Bottle from a bottle shop in Copenhagen. Malty smell. Sweet malty taste with dark rye bread and caramel. Very sweet actually and very little carbonation.

Benfi (692) - DENMARK - MAR 4, 2014
Pours a murky, cloudy brown with a creamy beige head. Pretty disgusting phenollic aroma. Medium body, sweet roast and heavy

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAR 4, 2014
0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Dark brown color. Aromas of raisins, figs, dark bread and cola. Taste of dark charred bread, cold coffee, raisins and some caramel. Fairly light body considering the strength. Fairly simple charred taste.

Benzai (15597) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 2, 2014
Bottle shared by dad @ my mum’s birthday. Almost opaque very dark brown color, medium sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite some time. Smell and taste malts, some caramel, slightly a touch of chocolate, slightly sweet. Average to medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all.

50 cl. bottle, shared. Unclear, dark brown colour with a small, fading tan head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, chocolate, coffee, light toasted. A hint of nuts. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Short light bitter finish citrus and lightly toasted malts. decent Brown Ale.

Categorized according to it being a Brown Ale! 1. Aroma: Decent caramel/sweet/nutty/biscuit like malt smell. Low on hops aroma (which is alright for this style i.e Brown Ale). 2. Apparance: Boring look! Very poor head retention and no lacing! Indifferent color wise.. 3. Decent malt taste (mild chocolate coming through) and a good zap of bitter hops in the end (for a brown ale) - No notable aroma/taste hops. 4. Medium body - nice mouthfeel. Unfortunately, highly under carbonated! Surprisingly bitter finish. Overall: Above average Brown Ale, but has some flaws (I suspect the one I got had been on the shelf for a while)

bergstaden (2977) - Røros, NORWAY - OCT 17, 2013
Brown with an off white head - good malt aroma with roasted malts and some coffee notes - Good malt body with a good roasted malt flavour along with some bitterness - This was good
