1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
I am having a hard time finding anything positive to say. Aroma is metallic which also carries over to the taste. The beer is a bit too bitter overal and is difficult to pick out any nice flavors. Not a fan

Hazy dark brown color with beige head. Interesting beer. The first impression of aroma was fruit, then roasty and at last licorice. For me the taste was stout like, smoked, sweetish. Well balanced beer. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. 5.2%. Best before 14.04.16. Pours a hazy, dark amber/brown, with a tan head. Good lacing. Sweet aroma, roasted, malty and a bit dusty, with a hop note – the latter somewhat turning to old hops/cheese as it warms. Flavour is roasted, malty and a bit hoppy, again turning old/cheesy as it warms. Roasted finish with a mild to medium bitterness. Overall okay, especially for a brown ale; the hop notes are a good feature, even if somewhat old and cheesy. 24.02.16.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Dusty roasty fruit aroma with earthy chocolatey notes. Very vivid. Dry-sweet roasty fruity taste with dusty earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry roasty earthy aftertaste with cocoa and burnt notes. Some coffee, too. (0.5l bottle, from Superbrugsen, Copenhagen.)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The aroma of roasted malt, caramel and little fruit. The flavor is as expected, heavy and full of dark caramel, some figs / raisin and plenty of lightly roasted malt. Is it a little coffee which also briefly roam palate? It is so rich and filling that I for a moment is to doubt whether it really is a Belgian dubbel instead. All my sources says, however, that it is a brown ale, and if so, it’s a very provocative brown ale.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Mörkbrun. Bra skum. Luktar lite brännt. Smakar rätt ok, men lite tunn. Lite som en Newcastle på flaska.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Copenhagen 27/6 2015. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Label with comic character from Monrad & Rislund. Pours very dark reddish brown with off-white head. Subsides to thin layer of foam quite quickly. Aroma is sweet with caramel and some slightly fermented fruit. Soft carbonation. Taste is sweet caramel and sweet fruit balanced by medium bitterness. Quite decent brown ale for a comic feature from Pladderballe.
