The aroma of roasted malt, caramel and little fruit. The flavor is as expected, heavy and full of dark caramel, some figs / raisin and plenty of lightly roasted malt. Is it a little coffee which also briefly roam palate? It is so rich and filling that I for a moment is to doubt whether it really is a Belgian dubbel instead. All my sources says, however, that it is a brown ale, and if so, it’s a very provocative brown ale.

A danish, almost black, brown ale with creamy head. Aroma is malt, light caramel, roasted, coffee, light nuts? Taste is bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy dark brown color with beige head. Interesting beer. The first impression of aroma was fruit, then roasty and at last licorice. For me the taste was stout like, smoked, sweetish. Well balanced beer. Nice.

Very dark brown body with a small, very light-brown head, ok lacing. Inviting and quite strong aroma that I find rather porter-like: it’s roasted with dark caramel, dark chocolate and sweet fruity notes. Moderate to light sweet taste, very little dryness and a moderate bitterness. The flavours follow the aroma, but with less chocolate. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Enjoyable!

Bottle shared by dad @ my mum’s birthday. Almost opaque very dark brown color, medium sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite some time. Smell and taste malts, some caramel, slightly a touch of chocolate, slightly sweet. Average to medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all.

Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Dusty roasty fruit aroma with earthy chocolatey notes. Very vivid. Dry-sweet roasty fruity taste with dusty earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry roasty earthy aftertaste with cocoa and burnt notes. Some coffee, too. (0.5l bottle, from Superbrugsen, Copenhagen.)

Bottle at home. Hazy orange-red coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and chocolate. Fruity flavour of caramel, chocolate and hops with notes of nuts and yeast. Hoppy finish.
