3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear amber body with a small, lacing beige head. Quite strong aroma of caramel and toast, not much more. Flavor is sweet and malty with caramel, some dry fruit and hint of oxidation. Not much bitterness. Medium body and mostly caramel malt in aftertaste. Drinkable but very plain and actually reminds me about this old school Scandinavian Christmas beer with the main focus on caramel malt.

Bottle @ Friends/chef. Appearance: pours clear amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel and lots of spices (clove and anise). palette: medium sweet malty spicy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average to notable sweetness, unbalanced by a light to average bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: distinctly spiced seasonal - but not a pleasant mix

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The smell is pleasant caramelized with touches of slightly anise. The taste is like a nice experimental Christmas beer. It is anise, cinnamon, good caramel notes and a nice hoppy bitterness to follow. OK ... it’s certainly not the most exciting Christmas beer on the market, but reasonable and drinkable.
