Bottle from Superbrugsen. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hopy nice anis aroma. Moderate bitter strange flavor. Some "wet" licorice notes. Average light bitter finish. Watery palate. More strange than good. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2013
It’s hazy red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of anise and malt, it’s mild. The flavor has a light sweetness and the same notes - way too much anise for my liking... lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2013
500 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aroma of licorice root, anise, grass and some toffee. Flavour of licorice, berries, anise, caramel, berries and some bread. Light bodied, oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and berryish. Not very impressive. EHSRanders (2105) - Tjele, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2013
Bottle. Hazy amber colour with small creamy White mostly lasting head. Malta aroma. Sweet flavor. KoNrRiI (1735) - Århus, DENMARK - MAR 3, 2015
0.5 bottle. Minutely hazy, dark, amber color and a medium, off-white head. Aroma of licorice, fennel, a tad of molasses, delicate marzipan, and some cough drops. Taste is full of molasses, fennel, and some anise. Medium body, slick texture, and average carbonation. Finish is even stronger but it generally reiterates the same flavors as before. Overall the beer is certainly unusual though I cannot call it especially tasty.
