A really tasty Bitter. The aftertaste is the best part. Plank Town specializes in Bitter’s, a welcome theme here in the heart of Hop land.
Keg at the brewpub, Springfield, 10/11/14.
Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is pretty muted, straw, light malt notes, hint of fruit.
Taste comprises earthy tones, nutty, light malt base, dull.
Medum bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Bland as ... offers very little, might as well drink water. Decent bitters on keg just don’t come around too often and this is no exception! ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Draft at 16 Tons Cafe, Eugene. Pours a medium-golden straw. Fair amount of off-white head. Aroma slightly spicy, crispness, slight yet well-balanced. Body medium-thin, decent amount of liveliness. Finish slight, grassy, brief but pleasant. Maybe would want a little more complexity from the malt, but overall a nice easy-drinking bitter.
