4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was probably the best Scotch Ale I have ever tasted, only because I don’t usually enjoy their distinct flavor. This beer had enough of the right amount of character, but was also expressive with other flavors.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg at the brewpub, 10/11/14.
Murky chestnut brown with a leaf shaped beige covering.
Nose is toffee, dark fruits, spice, biscuit.
Taste comprises rich carmael, dates, figs, biscuit malt, spice.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with bitter sweet licks.
Ok for style but ultimately falls short on flavour for an 8% beer!
