3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
2/14/2018 (12 fl oz can): Aroma of pine, pineapple, golden syrup, hint of lime; hazy golden orange color with a fluffy off-white, lasting head; weird metallic and toasted grain flavor (I've picked this up in other Platform brews and I wonder if it's from the melanoidin and/or aciduated malts) along with cooked pear, hint of honey flavor at times, raw bitter lime pithe in the finish, generous bitterness overall; medium body, smooth; I really like the aroma and bitter punch, but don't understand the flavor. Drinks better and has more body than most Session IPAs, but that's probably because it's above 5% ABV. Also, I still don't get the point of "Session IPA" beer since they are less malt, less hops, and less alcohol than regular and double/imperial IPA, but still cost the same or more...
Hazy orange pour withe white head. Aroma is east coast ipa. Taste brings on dessert sweetness and lime. Decent. Dogbrick (14458) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 15, 2018
Sample at the Columbus taproom during the "Lemon Cruller Can Release" on 03/10/2018. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lace. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of zesty lime, piney hops and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lime and hop aftertaste. Decent overall. Hope I entered this correctly - all these platform projects are tough to decipher... 12oz can from Trader Joe's on Sawmill: gold pour, thin white head and loose lacing. aroma is pleasant lime and pine. tastes are citrus, light lime, clean. then a long pine and zesty bitter finish. fairly carbonated on the light to medium palate.
