Draft. Clear amber with a thick, off white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grains, hay, and floral hops. Taste is grains and bread up front. Floral hops and lightly toasted malts help round it out. Average thickness and easy to take down. Really solid execution of the style.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like dried fruits, toffee malt, light booze, and earth. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like dried fruits, toffee malt, earth, and light booze.

On tap at the brewery. Dark gold and clear appearance with a white head and thick lacing. Mild aroma of pale malt, pilsner malt, light noble hop spice and light floral notes. Similar flavor, a little bland. Light to medium body with a crisp feel, soft carbonation and a smooth finish. Meh.

Draft. Clean but simple Vienna malt profile shows toffee and red apple skins with faint huskiness. Sweet, chewy sugars in front, it becomes a little filmy / syrupy in the mouth but has some savoriness and fullness in the finish. Medium bitterness and low acidity with soft, fine carbonation. Toasty cinnamon twizzlers effect retronasal. Decent malt expression, but the red apple character seems ester-derived and from the texture it doesn’t seem to have been lagered enough.

On tap @ Platt Park brewery. Pours a dark reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Toasted malty, caramel, grassy, herbal aroma. A little nutty, fairly clean, grassy, caramel flavor. Fairly clean. Medium body. Low to moderate bitterness and sweetness. Not bad.

Tap at the brewery - clear dark gold - soapy lace - nose of crusty bread, light.crackery notes, some grassy hops - mild carbonation, honestly a little flat in the mouth - flavor brings a nice balance of rich but semi-dry malts, light mineral, and lightly pepper, moderately.bitter, mildly grassy hops - there is some acidity late that brings a lightly citric tang - crisp, medium-dry finish - the finish is mildly unclean, but this is fairly enjoyable.

Hazy darkish gold with a thin white head. The nose has this earthy lagered cracker tone with a very light sulphur tone that was there...but not too distracting. Nice malty lagered flavor of toast and yeast with some bock-like tones of blonde grains and fresh bread. Biscuity and semi sweet earthy. Nice!
