Kuparin värinen, läpikuultava. Kevyt savun aromi. Maussa savua, kevyt terva. Vähän vaisu kuitenkin.

0.5l draught at Plevna, Tampere. Dark brown with medium sized head. Smoke aroma from start to finish, with some pilsner malt in there. Kind of dry and bitter finish. Maybe a bit lighter on the palate when compared Bambergs beers from what I remember, definitely a quality smoked beer.

Tummanruskea, kirkas olut melko pienellä vaahdolla. Tuoksu vahvan savuinen ja hieman palvikinkkuinen. Maku pehmeä, maltaisen savuinen ja makeahko. Oikein toimiva savuolut.

Draught. Quite nice. The smoke flavour is not too strong and is balanced nicely by the sweetness.

[email protected] Reddish deep amber. Smokey, peaty nose. Malty, some bread, whiskeysque notes. Med bodied, dryish finish. Med bittered. Malty, woody bonfire, tar. Pretty nice flavourful well smoked ale. Could be a bit fuller smoother though.

Smell of smoke, roasted malt. Bronze colour, beige head. Aroma of smoke, oak, earth. Medium sweet. Soft and plentiful carbon.

0.5 l draught @ Plevna, Tampere. A smoked beer in the Bamberg style. However, it feels in my mouth more like tar than smoke. That is not bad though, but I would have preferred more subtle smoke aromas. This is an aggressive smoke beer. Still very nice and tasty.

Marstonlad (908) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 28, 2013
Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki. Pours reddish brown with a medium-sized frothy head. Aroma of smoked malts, ham and tar - does not differ greatly from the Bamberg classics. Taste is light sweet and roasty; it offers smoky maltiness, rye bread and tar, only a little ham. Palate is light to medium bodied - only - with a medium to high carbonation. Not bad but the best smoked beers like Schenkerlas or Vakka-Suomen Savukataja are much richer in taste.

Tap @ the brewpub. Unfiltered version. Clear dark copper, beige head. Smoky aroma, wood. Smooth smoky, malty flavour, dry. Some vegetable.

Dark orange body, white head. Aroma has smoke and salt, some tart on the maltiness. Blah.
