Black, basicly opaque color, good creamy beige head. Light licorice in the aroma. Light to medium bodied. Burned malty, toasted flavor. Not very hoppy, some bitterness in the finish. Crossover between CDA and British IPA.

Tap (Amsterdam, Helsinki)
Slightly roasty mashy aroma, bit sweetish, some hints of something like sourness. Nice dark red, small keggy head. Mashy roasty taste, some coffee I guess. Where are the aroma hops? Smooth palate, decent carbonation. Nice earthy herbal bitterness in the finish is pretty nice. Slight crotchiness too, alas. Pretty decent overall, but not aromatic enough, pales behing the muflon I just had.

Tranquillity (2333) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 18, 2013
Draught. Aroma quite weak or then I have a flu. I don’t really get it. It tastes more like a porter with a bitter twist at the end. I’d prefer most stouts or porters but it’s still drinkable. Nice finish though.

3.7
Tide (3896) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 16, 2013
Draught at Kaisla. Dark brown color, beige head. Bitter taste with citrus, pine, caramel, roasty malts and floral hops. Nicely balanced body, just the right amount of malts and hops. Bitter finish with grass and pine. Excellent black IPA.

3.8
tiong (7278) - Espoo, FINLAND - JAN 7, 2013
Draught @ Kaisla, Helsinki

Pours dark brown, almost black with a large, smooth and foamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, grassy hops, hints of licorice and chocolate. Taste is fruity and harshly bitter with hints of roastiness, licorice and chocolate. Finish is bitter and mildly roasty with some fruitness and long lasting hoppy notes. Perhals a bit too carbonated and a bit unbalanced hop profile, but otherwise quite tasty black IPA.
