50 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 08.05.2010, BBE 08.05.2020
Aroma has sweetish bourbon notes, some roastiness and woody notes. Flavour is quite strong on woody notes with bourbon, vanilla and licorice. A sting of alcohol and whiskey in the finish, which feels a bit harsh. Too strong on whiskey, which does not completely fit to the flavour bouquet.
Completely different than the original SIPERIA, which I find better. Despite of all that, this is a very enjoyable beer. And perhaps the best ’milestone’ beer I’ve had. Cheers, Hannu!

Ok, perhaps the last change to have this from tap – still got one bottle at home though. Aroma is rather nice with bourbon tones, sweet vanilla, some wood, licorice and hints of coffee. If aroma can be sticky – this is. At least it is syrupy. Flavour is rather sweet and bourbon really stands up. Also some herbal tones, licorice, vanilla and licorice. Aroma was rather promising, but flavour is just too sweet and too strong on bourbon. I hoped that this would have settled during these years. Feels sticky even after the first sip. Still I find the bottle version better.

@ Basunen: Trevlig len doft av kaffe och lakrits. Fin balans mot fattonerna. smaken är stor med mycket fat men ändå trevligt rostade toner och fyllig lakrits. Len och harmonisk. Mycket gott pushkinwow (2781) - Ottawa, CANADA - OCT 18, 2012
2010 500ml bottle from Tiong. Black with a very thin brown head that almost disappears. Anise, roasted malts, bittersweet, bit of prune. Mild carbonation, full body, bitter at first, then some alcohol and anise burn, nice long burnt ending. Very happy to gotten to try this. VastActiv (6935) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 1, 2012
Draught at Pikkulintu, 0.4l. Color black, some glimpses of red. Aroma bourbon and vanilla. Flavor with chocolate and vanilla, too much alcohol. In my opinion, worse than casual Plevna Siperia. jcartamdg (3402) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2012
Wow, so boozy. It's like a smack in the face. Aroma is overpowering and the taste is right there. This is a bit too much, alcohol overpowers anything else there.

500 ml bottle. Pitch black colour, thin brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, fruits and hops. The flavour is roasted malty, sweetish with liquorice, oak, chocolate etc. The finish is drier, hoppy, with plenty of hoppy bitterness. One of the best Finnish beers I’ve tasted. esp0r (2866) - NORWAY - FEB 4, 2012

Pours jet black with a thick brown head. Smells of roasted malts, soy sauce, and coffee. Taste is quite malty, good sweetness and coffee and some ashtray. Quite dry and oily feel. Nice and power bitter finish. Very nice finnish imperial stout
500ml bottle bought at Alko Arkadia in Helsinki almost a year ago. Deep, motor oily pour revealing a very dark body colour with a rusty tint. Brownish head, some of it remaining and leaving fragile lacing behind. Smells good of velvet dark malts and dark fruity hops. Vanilla oak in flavour successfully joined by earthy, dark malts and dusty hops inserted by degrees of anise. Solid ending of dark, bitter hops. Warming and excellent as a sipper on a dark Saturday eve. Greetings to Hanniku who I had the pleasure of meeting last August in London (Tromsø, 28.01.2012). At Ryan & Felicias, shared by 50BelAir. Is black, scant head. Smells burnt and hot, with some dark fruit, much like an imperial foreign stout. The flavors are nice and lingering long with espresso, sour fruit, and some unfortunate acrid tones, like bitter fruit seeds and burnt wood. Intense and unbalanced, wasn’t vibing but hard to know what a longer visit would have yielded. hopscotch (11043) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottle… This beer rocks!... Murky dark brown ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The bouquet is very deeply roasted, bourbony and quite oaken with nuances of blackstrap molasses, espresso, dark berries and spiced rum. Full-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. The flavor is also deeply roasted and oaken with notes of espresso, burnt cocoa and dark berries. Scorched, bitter finish. Thanks to the always-generous 50belair for sharing this bottle!
