Siperia aged 5 months in the Jack Daniels whiskey barrels. This special version of Siperia is named after Mr. Hannu Nikulainen (Hanniku), who has reached 10,000 ratings in the year 2010.

Bottle 500ml. @ Petalax Beer Festival 2010 - the 4th. edition.

[ Drunk in the company of Hannu himself ;O) ]. Clear dark dark black color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, cask wood, vanilla, moderate hoppy, licorice notes, light alcohol - whisky. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100703]

Bottle at Pikkulintu. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of bourbon, vanilla, dried fruits and oak with notes of chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of dried fruits with notes of bourbon, vanilla and liquorice. Roasted finish. Nice.

[email protected] Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBFtasting. (thanks to hanniku for the bottle!). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is smoked malts, some whiskey, vanilla and roasted malts in a very nice balance. Flavour s being a very nice mix of the same. One of the better whiskey aged beers.

Bottled, thanks Hanniku! Very black,beige head. Distinct woody nose. Fairly sweet and full bodied with plenty of licorice, coffee and whiskey, as well as notes of tobacco. Really well balanced, flavourful without being agressive. Great beer!

31st July 2010. ChrisOs Pre GBBF - ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Opaque black beer with chocolate - tan coloured head. Lovely nose of dark malt, fruit and oak. Fresh fruit with chocolate and oak. Some spirity tones. Full flavoured but very drinkable.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an opaque black with a small and rough brown head. Lovely Bourbon aroma combined with hard roast malt and some licorice. Solid body woth a low carbonation, hard roast malts and some licorice allsorts. Some malt bitterness. The barrel-aging is very subtle and balanced. 180810

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Black, thin tan head. Hoppy, oak, bourbon aroma. Vanilla, liquorice. Very tasty. Lovely put together impy stout. Bit of mint herb.
