A: Pitch black with small yellow head. S: Coffee, alcohol, smoke. T: Liquorice that gets into strong smoky taste with bitterness and a pure bitter aftertaste. M: Not that thick for the style. O: Nice and heavy. panacea (94) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JAN 2, 2014
I have to say the expectations for this one was quite different from reality. This beer is more of a black IPA than imperial stout. Anyways, clear black with decent long lasting head. Confusing aroma for me (preconceptions) but with roasted/caramel malts and new world hops in perfect balance. The taste is far better than most of the black IPAs I’ve tasted, very balanced. I like this beer a lot! Not surprising it is nr 1 in Finland. Impressive though better classified as a black IPA. Cuso (8687) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - DEC 31, 2013
Bottle from rosenbergh, many thanks. Very dark red brown color with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice. Roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, hops in taste. Coffee bitter finish. Tasty. MisoW (3571) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle, gift from rosenbergh (my SecretSanta). Pours black color, with huge dark beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and some coffee. Taste starts medium sweet, but ends very bitter, really nice change. Taste is coffee, hoppy, dark chocolate, some hints of citrus. Nice one...

Sampled bottle at Porterfestivalen 2013.
Black with a light brown head.
Aroma: roasted, coffee, hoppy, light metallic.
Taste: very bitter, pine and grapefruit, coffee, roasted, resin, salmiak, chili.
Grew on me after a while into a nice hoppy and bitter stout, but to begin with, I thought it was too much. ___pyry (4) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 3, 2013 does not count
A perfect dry stout with deep hoppy flavour. I was expecting a sweeter beer, but was happily suprised to find out there are strong stouts that don’t taste like syrup. NilsHenrikBo (25) - Västerås, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2013
From the brewery tap. PItch black body, brown head. Overly hoppy, could be more in balance. Black roasted malt tastes through and gives this a bit of a burned taste. Still interesting one and worth trying. Brandman (2948) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 28, 2013
Draugth at Plevna. Black body, brown to gray head. Aroma has huge amount of american hops for imperial stout, some roasted malts and green feeling. Flavour is ashy malt, really roasted notes and huge overall hoppiness. Very complex malt and hop interaction. mikkopen (1164) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2013
330 ml bottle. Black, with a tihn brown head. Roasted malty aroma with fruits, liquorice and coffee. The flavour is roasterds malty, with coffee and liquorice, and a lingering grapefruity hoppy finish. Excellent stuff.
