Bottle. Dark brown / black, with a big thick brown head. Aroma has hop, cocoa, coffee and citrus. Taste has malt, coffee. Very smooth mouthfeel with a bitter acidic middle and aftertaste. Almost like tonic water. Lots of character.

Desverger (9253) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2015
Bottle - thanks to Cloin! - pours black with a medium dissipating tan head. Aroma and taste is roasted malty, with a strong hoppy backing, nice notes of chocolate and coffee, pretty smooth mouthfeel with a good helping of vanilla sweetness flowing through, a roasty and hoppy bitter finish. Good stuff.

One of the best beers in Finland, no doubt. Hoppy bitterness meeting nice fruitiness and malts. Good balance, and a long after taste. A complex brew.

33cl bottle from our lovely monopoly. Pours close to pitch black with a fully diminished chocolate brown head. Nose has hops and roasted malts. Smooth bitter hoppy flavour to a roasted liqourice chocolate malty base. Lenghty, crisp and fresh ending.

På pikkulintu med Isabel 21 nov 2015. Svartipa så det sjunger om det. Gillar inte stilen men förstår att den här är populär hos vissa. Beskan är hög. Humlegräsig och brända toner. Stilig och trevlig bartender.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2016 Pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, herbs, hops, abit dark chocolate and coffee. Taste goes along with the aroma : multi-layered roasted malts with hops and fruits and coffee. Amazing stuff, well balanced. Overall this is a very refreshing and hoppy imperial stout, recommended!

Bottle thanks to Secret Santa! Pours opaque black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates leaving decent residual and lacing. Roasy aroma, anise, molasses, cocoa. Flavor is light sweet, medium plus bitter, roasty, burned notes, molasses, pine. Lingering bitter finish. Medium body.
