My Bottom Line:Linnet (1832) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - JUN 7, 2015
Raisins, molasses and licorice sweetness are pierced by resinous hops and their bitterness in this nicely aromatic Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam surfs the blackness.
-Very interesting because it is flavorful, but also because it is a textbook recipe.
-Mouthfeel is very rich, but not overwhelming, which I appreciate.
-Shades of fruity vanilla also peek through.
Bottle, 2014 edition. Thx, Timo!
Roasty, rather sweet, chocolate, coffee, licorice, ABV well integrated, black colour, tan head, flavour is sweet, salty and bitter, body is a bit thin for an imps. Decent. Hikeg (295) - - MAY 22, 2015
Pours dark brown with average creamy, mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate roasted maltiness with nuts, coffee and chocolate. Moderate to heavy hops, orange, grass and pine. Leather and earth tones in yeast. Notes of toffee, vanilla and soy sauce. Nicely balanced taste with moderate sweetness and surpisingly heavy bitter with dryish and long finish. Nice touch of salty accent. Moderate body yet creamy texture with lively carbonation. A hint of alcohol at the end. Nijstrom (280) - Turku, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2015
Bottle. Pours pitch black with a brown head. The aroma contains notes of roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, coffee and dark fruits. Moderate to heavy sweetness, light bitterness and a slightly bitter finish. Full-bodied, creamy and very soft carbonation. The best imperial stout currently made in Finland.

Bottle thanks to Janne. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of black licorice, roast chocolate, licorice root and root beer soaked wood. Interesting. Medium body. Jyrsa (834) - - FEB 10, 2015
Pours pitch black with light brown. Nose has grapes, hops and lots of sugar. Burnt malt and hops. The imperial stout in Finland. SpeedyGonzales (3) - - FEB 1, 2015 does not count
Mukavan syvän tumma väri, sopivan paahteinen ja runsas vaahto. Maku hyvin voimakas, mutta turhan viipyilevä. DIRKDENNEMANN (1) - Bad Bentheim (Gildehaus), GERMANY - JAN 31, 2015 does not count
Has heavy fruit smell, even before drinking. Has taste of chocolade and is a very drinkable beer, even for an imperial stout.Still balance of hops and malt is very good.
