Cask at GBBF 2006. A pitch black beer with a lasting orange-brown head. The aroma is quite hoppy combined with notes of grass and grapefruit, as well as light notes of chocolate. The flavor is very complex with notes of citrus, hops, and chocolate, leading to an with notes of grapefruit. Like hop soup with chocolate. joergen (27970) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 16, 2008

Pitch black coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Roasted and hoppy aroma of coffee.
Roasted and hoppy flavour of coffee and pine needles.
Roasted and hoppy finish.
Very hoppy for an imperial stout. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 29, 2006
Draught. Black colour, brown big head. Roasted malts, toffee, hops and some hayish notes in aroma. Roasted malt, hayish hops and alcohol in flavour. Feels a bit unbalanced as for the sweetness which is there all the way through. Kind of cuts in in a bad way with the hops.

Cask @ GBBF 2006. Rating #900. Pours a black colour with a tan head. Roasted malty slightly fruity aroma, hints of chocolate and licorice. Roasted malty bitter flavor with lots of chocolate, licorice and coffee. Long bitter finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 7, 2008
(On tap) Pours black and opaque with a light brown head. Sweet aroma of vanilla and hard roasted malt. Quite full-bodied with distinctly sweet hard roasted malt. Has a light malt bitterness. A friendly Imperial Stout, but perhaps a little to the overly sweet side. 120908 omhper (24963) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 7, 2006
[Draught at GBBF] Pitch black, no head. Salty licorice and tar simmers on a soft but firm compact maltiness. Packed with flavour, but not assaulting. Vicely bitter, salty finish. The softness and blance makes it one of the best imperial stouts anywhere. madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2014

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque black - brown beer. Good tan head. Palate is light with a fine crispnes. Semi dry. Tangy dark malts and mild dark chocolate. Touch of creamy chocolate and coffee. Mild bretty savoury kick. Whisper of citric hops. Light semi dry finish. Nice.
Bottle at Pikkulintu. Black color, brown head. Aroma of Starbucks. Taste has dark cocoa powder and espresso left on the burner too long. Nice.
