A perfect dry stout with deep hoppy flavour. I was expecting a sweeter beer, but was happily suprised to find out there are strong stouts that don’t taste like syrup. Mave (1) - HELSINKI, FINLAND - FEB 22, 2008 does not count
Dark, Thick, Tasty, Gummy, Love it. Tastes like a Finnish forrest. The name says it all, a must to have. kalervo (1043) - FINLAND - MAY 21, 2014
Really well balanced, complex and enjoyable imperial stout! The best Finnish beer this far for sure and superb beer internationally too. ladnewton (1964) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2009
Draught at Plevna, Tampere, Finland on 9th August 2008. Black as printing ink and sports a handsome pale brown head. One of the finest stouts I have drunk in recent years. Full-bodied, very strong hoppiness for a stout as well as delectable roasted malt and smokiness. Very bitter chocolate notes too. Totally exquisite and recommended.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2010 Draught at Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Finland. One of the finest Imperial Stouts I’ve ever tasted, with a full body and a ton of hops, roasted malt and smoke in its taste. Hints of bitterness, chocolate and liquourice as well. I had a fun night with the dear Siperian Stout. Extremely strong chocolate flavour and smooth after taste. I would say that the smoothnes was something between Speedway and Yeti stout (smoothest stuff around:) Hint of caramel and nice roasted taste (the next day).
I have to rank this as the best Finnish beer I have ever tasted (there with the yeti stout). Big up for plevna. ScorpionMG (3) - RUSSIA - JAN 5, 2013 does not count

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2008 Gorgeous thick creamy beige head, cruel - almost pitch black color. Pleasant, sweet aroma with a touch of herbs, chocolate and a bit of tobacco. Powerful, quite sweet flavor brings a load of hops and fruits. Nice low carbonated palate. Feisty and originaI flavor. I would’ve liked to see more maltiness but otherwise a good effort overall. Re-rate Aug 17th: Put up the points a notch, due to an excellent sample at the brewery. omhper (25119) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 7, 2006
[Draught at GBBF] Pitch black, no head. Salty licorice and tar simmers on a soft but firm compact maltiness. Packed with flavour, but not assaulting. Vicely bitter, salty finish. The softness and blance makes it one of the best imperial stouts anywhere.
