, Helsinki) Hazy dark amber with a small, but lasting head. Strong, very aromatic-hoppy, pine-fruity aroma - a bit similar to North Bridge Extreme and Snake Dog IPA. Quite crisply hoppy, pine-hoppy and fruity flavor with balancing maltiness. Medium-bodied, slightly thin, dryish and very bitter palate. A pleasant, crisp and fresh brew - the way Severin and Rotvalli should have been. Slightly thin and harsh, but very nice overall. Should rate side by side with Snake Dog...
Attractive amber-red hued body underneath a large, creamy, light tan head. The aroma is very forward with aromas of resin and grapefruit from the start; quite fresh and sharp. Malt tones of cookies and rye bread fall behind, much softer than the hops. Behind that, spicy caraway seeds and orange blossom honey pleasantly pull in opposite directions. The flavour begins lightly to moderately sweet with notes of honey, caramel and bread, which are all slightly masked by the heavier resin and grapefruit hop elements. Moving toward the finish, the taste of resin and grapefruit builds until it scrapes away in a long drying finish that reminds me of warm wool at times. Carbonation is brisk, yet soft, and melds well with the creamy texture, all on a medium frame. I rather enjoyed this one...strongly hoppy, mostly dry...good stuff. Draft @ Plevna. Draught at Sopp 2013. Smell of caramel. Dark golden colour, yellow head. Aroma of hops, rye, spruce. Bitter, faint sweetness. Flat but plentiful carbon. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 28, 2008
Dark coppery colored, little yellow head. Rich sweet, strongly floral aroma with caramel and still refreshing and crispy hops. Medium bodied. Flavor is also crispy-hopped with even some bubblegummy sweetness and caramel, still noticable Plevna-floral note comes up here. Aftertaste dries still with nice sweetness, not too much rye here though. Balanced IPA, again nice brew from my local brewery pub.

(Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki) Amber colour, small pale head. Nose is caramel malts with some pitchy hops. Flavor slightly sweet caramel malty with heavy piney hoppiness. Dry and bitter finish. Medium bodied, very smooth and balanced palate. This one really surprised me, a great american-style IPA. begbie100 (181) - Oulu, FINLAND - SEP 29, 2008
Draught @ OTTO Festival. Copper colored, beige head. Bitter fruity aroma, apricot and hops. Palate is soft. flavor has well balanced bitterness and hops. English bitter like, but with more hops and ABV. Didn’t taste the rye tho. janir (216) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2008
Slightly hazy, reddish amber color with thick, creamy and lacy head. Aroma is very mush aromatic hoppy, sweetish caramely malty with a bit of black currant. Flavor is sweety caramely malty, with balancing and long lasting grassy hops. Black currant can be also found from the flavor. Palate is quite full-bodied, dry and low cabonated. esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 29, 2008
Draught @ OTTO fest. A bit cloudy copper to orange beer with creamy, medim-sized head. Hoppy aroma is fres, full of floral and fruity (orange peel, even black currant!) elements with some resin in the finish. Rich malty flavor with some roastdness of caramel malts. Overall quite bitter, especially in the long finish that has also fruits and sweetish caramel. Palate is medium bodied, smooth and sticky bitter in the finish. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 25, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2011 Draught at Plevna, Tampere, Finland.
Dark brown colour. Bitter hoppy and fruity aroma. Same with the flavour. Rye makes it milder in bitterness but also smoother. Enjoyable.
