Waarheidsgetrouwe voor Tjechische stijl bier van lage gisting. Lempeänmakean kwaliteit van mout geeft verfijnde zachtheid en rijke sappigheid in evenwicht gehouden door de fijne hop. TBone (17442) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 20, 2004
Draught at Plevna Brewery Pubharrisoni (18437) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2007
Almost opaque. Brown creamy head. Not much aroma - light hops. Very balanced mouthfeel with hops and sweet malts. Bitter aftertaste.
Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Very dark brown, lasting tan head. Really tasty dunkel, lots of roasted malt, but not heavy in mouth. Moderate intensity and a good lasting tasty finish. Good stuff. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 12, 2004

, Helsinki) Very dark, reddish brown color with very small but lacy, tanned head. A mild aroma of sweetish malt and licorice. Quite pleasant and complex, sweetish but slightly sour, very malty licorice flavor with rye and toffee hints. Medium to full-bodied, slicky, but quite thick palate with low carbonation. An excellent, tasty and full-bodied dunkel! The aroma is a bit weak, though.
Near black colored, medium sized beige head. Roasted aroma with sweet caramel. Medium bodied. Flavor is even more roasted with slight chocolate, Plevna-flowery character from hops here also. Roastiness and coffee last long in aftertaste with bitter hops. Soft palated. Nicely balanced dunkel. wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2007
Draft @ Plevna. Dark brown hue with reddish tints and a light tan, foamy head. Aroma is quite smoky with notes of dark bread, fresh herbs, slightly burnt toast, maillard reactions and roast. Flavour beings moderately sweet with a light bitterness and finishes with a soft sweetness and a moderate bitterness, mainly from the roasty character. The smoke isn’t as pronounced in the flavour, yeilding more to the breads and sugars. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Christian (13605) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 28, 2007
Cask-GBBF. Dark brown with a big and lasting, creamy off-white head. Rich aroma of caramel, malts and some hay. Sweet flavour with toffee notes, and a lasting roast finish. begbie100 (181) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 26, 2009
Draught @ Plevna, Tampere. Dark brown color, almost black. White small head. Aroma is sweet berry malts, not that roasted. Flavor is surprisingly strong and dry for dunkel. Roastedness, plum. Erasmus_ro (2912) - Alabama, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Tap @ brewpub. Pours a dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is light ash, smoke, some roast. Taste is fairly darkly fruity, dark malts, some roast. Smooth. Great drinkability.
