Wysmienity porter. Bogaty aromat i smak. W aromacie glownie koniak, dalej beczka, czekolada, wanilia a nawet kokos.

Bottle share at Mon Petit Cafe, Stuttgart. Strong cognac barrel - ripe apples, alcohol, grapes, a little bit of dark chocolate and bread in the end. Taste is slightly roasted, still a lot of cognac, then a bit of chocolate, quite alcoholic.

BenL8 (246) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle from my local beershop, shared with my gf at home. Pours completely black with a surprisingly intense head, which is espresso-like. Aroma is rich and complex, caramel sweetness, spicy, pepper, chili, hints of peat, all with moderately intense dark malts. Big body, thick oily mouthfeel. Flavour is amazing. Very sweet and rich, a hint of smoke/peat, burnt malt, caramel, molasses, figs, chocolate, very spicy, maybe some licorice, maybe some wood from the barrel and a certain oomph from the cognac. Very complex and layered. Finishes very long, sweet, caramelly and warming. What a gem of a beer, together with the imperator baltycki best Baltic Porter I've tasted.

(Backlog-rating) @ Brewskival 17-8-26: Tydlig alkohol och söta cognacstoner samt choklad och kaffe - lite för obalanserad.

Bottle shared with my parents, rating #6000. Pitch black color with beige head. Aroma is mon cheri, schnapspraline, prunes, chocolate, some metallic yeasts. Taste is cherries, prunes, raisins, quite some booze burn in the back - but what do you expect from Cognac? Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation with medium carbonation. Very interesting, but really only great for sharing. Although, after a couple of sips, I have to say it's quite balanced considering the intensity.

Deep black with generous, dense and long-lived espresso head. Candied sugar, cognac, oak barrel, bready yeast, roasted malts, licorice. Taste is sugary sweet upfront, with the cognac-like kick following. Very creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. A great example of the style, though maybe a bit too sweet for my taste.

Bottled 330ml (Boxbeers)
Opaque black colour, tiny beige head. Roasted malts, sweet dark sugars, iron and cognac in the nose. Full-bodied, some crisp carbonation. Very robust, roasted, sweet fruityness, cognac, coffee. Quite heavy and sweet but complex and warming. Good stuff.

Black pour, cognac dominates the nose. Taste is surprisingly sweet. Dark fruit notes and abv is well hidden. Nice treat.
