Bottled 330ml (Boxbeers)
Opaque black colour, tiny beige head. Roasted malts, sweet dark sugars, iron and cognac in the nose. Full-bodied, some crisp carbonation. Very robust, roasted, sweet fruityness, cognac, coffee. Quite heavy and sweet but complex and warming. Good stuff.

haniebnie alkoholowe w smaku, doskonała podstawa zepsuta dolewką (przepraszam, beczką po) koniaku, jestem przeciw. Pohjalo, lepsze jest wrogiem dobrego. Czy jakoś tak.

thirstyrabbit (1905) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 19, 2018
Waxed bottle, fresh batch #621. Very dark body, small disappearing head. Aroma has sweet grapey fruitiness combined with the deep roasty porter aromas of Öö. It has more of a sweet wine barrel feel than a cognac barrel feel. Sweet roasty taste with more winey sourness and some cola-like sweetness in the finish. Somehow tastes sweeter than it should be. I recently opened a bottle of regular "Öö" which I cellared for 2 years past BB date and it was fantastic. This barrel aged version however... I wanted to be impressed by this but I'm not.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2018 Barwa czarna, piana dość trwała, ładny lacing. Aromat niezbyt intensywny, nieco kawowy, trochę gorzkiej czekolady, chlebowo plus destylat winny.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2018 Fra flaske.

330ml bottle, 2018 batch. Pours black, medium sized beige head stays nicely. Aroma is chocolatey, cognac, prunes. Taste is rich, chocolatey, bit alcoholy, woody. Bitterness in aftertaste. Full bodied, soft carbonation. Very complex and nice. Not sweet at all, which I like!

phfyysik (1656) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAR 30, 2018
Batch from 2018. Pours black with thick beige head. Aroma is sourish, metal, some smoke, oak, light alcohol, some sweetness, cognac, peas. Taste is sourish, dry, roast, light dust, tannin, wooden, oak, light alcohol, plums, cognac, grapes, some bread, caramel. Very nice beer, although first batch was a bit better!

fkoolen (1483) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 21, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2018 Waxed bottle at home, red cap. Pitch black, beige creamy head. Velvety soft red fruity, sweet dark malty cacao and coffee blending nicely with the nuanced cognac notes, quite boozy; well balanced but lacks really big flavours. Aftertaste lingers bittersweet any boozy. Low carbonation, good body, sticky.

lello4ever (1356) - ITALY - MAR 19, 2018
Alcol perfetto. Corpo pieno, avvolgente, liquorosa.

33cl bottle at home, bought at Slijterij Groningen, Vismarkt. Appearance: pitchblack with medium, beige head. Aroma: dark malts, slightly oxidized, barrel, some iodine, cognac, apple. Taste: high sugary sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, toffee, cognac, dark chocolate some iodine, apple and coffee. Palate: medium to full bodied, silky texture and lively carbonation. Enjoyable on a cold night, but slightly unbalanced. Very sweet. Not their best in my opinion.
