330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is full of rich espresso, followed by chocolate, and the perfect amount of sweetness from the lactose. Flavour is rich and decadent, with a wonderful mix of chocolate, espresso and lactose. Really, this is super rich and dessert-like without being close to cloying. Wonderful stuff. beerplace (2146) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 9, 2017

Bottle… Pours opaque and pitch-black with a mid-sized, frothy, beige head. The aroma features brownie brittle, vanilla, chewing (pouch) tobacco and a slight ration of sassafras. Full-bodied, velvety and thick with soft carbonation. The flavor features blackstrap molasses, charcoal and bittersweet dark chocolate. Hearty, smooth, roasty finish with a light kiss of alcohol warmth. basjansen14 (461) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2017
Black coloured beer with a small tan coloured head. Panzerfaust (876) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - DEC 1, 2017
Aroma: roasted malts, some sweetness and some coffee.
Taste: sweet, roasted malts, some nuts, chocolate and some alcohol.
330ml bottle from El Irlandés. Pours a deep dark brown color (near black) with a big tan head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is strong in coffee and chocolate, twisting softer dark fruits (figs, dates), honey, toasted bread, some caramel and honey. Taste is strong and firm (a first when it comes to Pohjala beers), unveiling layers of flavor. Mostly sweet, the nice roastiness balances out everything. Silky texture, round body. Low carbonation. A really good Porter, noticeably better than the Must Kuld - Colombia, and the best from Pohjala it seems.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2017 Bottle. Near black with one finger head. Roasty malt, and a bit of a tart port flavor, bordering on sour. Dark fruit. This is an odd one. Interesting, but not my preference for the style. Other reviews aren't noting the tart flavors, maybe it's unintended? martijnendaan (35) - - NOV 23, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2017 Geweldige porter. Voor zijn alcohol en prijs ook nog eens redelijk complex en dik met genoeg diepgang! Heerlijk... marcus (10736) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 21, 2017
