Sample from 330ml bottle. Pours dark amber colour. Almost no head. Sweetness, hints of bread, notes of caramel, slught hints of raisins in the taste. Slighly bitter, bit bready aftertaste. Notes of honey as well. Rather light bodied, quite watery, rather low carbonated brew. VamboladeTolly (1963) - Tartu, ESTONIA - NOV 2, 2016
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Aroma: sweet and sour, malty, yeasty, bread, weak banana. Taste: sweet and sourish, yeasty, like bread in the middle when its a bit raw, like a well balanced homebrew at some village. Medium body. Sweet finish. Nice. Maits (479) - ESTONIA - SEP 6, 2016
Slightly hazy brown coloured beer with tiny beige head. Aroma is bread, rye. Taste is sour bread and mild malty. Light body, good refreshing beer. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 18, 2016
My Bottom Line:rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2016
Plentiful bread flavors, from both cereals and yeast, float within this rough brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the murky dark beige.
-Flavor profile lacks structure and clarity.
-Drinkability is rather low.
-This, in a way, is reminiscent of some Seto Olu. But not the best examples, of course.
-Fruity edges are observed here and there.

Tap in Ku-Kuu, Saaremaa. Copper brown hazy ale with small white head. Aroma is sweet bread and yeast. Taste is bready malt and mild. Under medium palate. Like home brewed ’kotikalja’. MartR (353) - Aespa, ESTONIA - JUL 11, 2015
Pendipäev 15. Hazy brown, almost no head. Earthy-farm aroma. Tastes very sour with some bread notes. Carbonation goes down fast and after that feels flat. Quite disappointing to be honest, because I remember the first batch of Rukkiõlu was pretty ok or at least drinkable. Sugram (95) - Tartu, ESTONIA - NOV 5, 2014
@ De Tolly. Aroma light, feels some apples and soured milk. Foam white but virtually none. Beer seems muddy brown. Taste is sour. Reminds me homemade beer. Carbonation: lively.
