330 ml bottle from Flavourly Ltd (with a Point Amber Lager (UK) label). Aromas of malts, plum, caramel. Small egg-shell white head, cloudy amber body. Taste is sweet malts, plum, honey. Aftertaste is sweet and fruity. Interesting and quite nice but not my style. Atom (2418) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 21, 2017
12oz bottle pours a clear deep amber with a large khaki head. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma with dry mild hop spice. Taste of semi-sweet caramel toffee malt lager yeast and bitter grassy hops hit the palate before the malt gets too sweet, corn in there. Weird balance. [Bottle at Robert Ransome in Ipswich, England]
pours a clear rich amber with a smallish off white head. mild malty aroma. thin body with high carbonation. not bad tasting. semi-sweet finish with a little carbonation bite. not bad, not great. drpimento (3572) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 28, 2016
Aroma, muted, is a mix of toasted malt, and solvents. Flavor has the toasted malt come out and become the best part of this beer. Body is a little off, bit thin, slightly over carbonated. Still, not a bad brew. jjsint (3002) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2016
Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Golden brown and clear as a bell, with massive carbonation creating only a thin white head. Gummy aroma reminiscent of tree sap and envelope glue. Sweet resinous taste with slight earthy hop in the finish. I’m quite find of this, especially considering it isn’t one of my favourite styles. ordybill (1738) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAR 1, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear reddish amber color, with a medium sized white head. The aroma is slightly nutty with some sweet maple. This is a very average beer. Rhombic (130) - SPAIN - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle. [As Point Amber Lager] Pours amber with frothy, fully diminishing head. Floral hoppy aromas. A bit fruity and herbal. Watery. Mild. Not that much going on at all. What a shame. Some spiciness to it, a bit of hops and a dry finish. But not what I expected.
