Poured into a perfect pint. 2.75 A: Clear orange amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is below average and very little lacing is left. 2.75 S: Quite bland this one is. The other Stevens beers I’ve had haven’t been spectacular, but they all had more going on than this one. Grainy maltiness with a touch of caramel sweetness. 2.75 T: Taste is like the nose. It’s a pretty standard amber except that it’s much weaker than the standard amber. Grainy malts with caramel sweetness. 3.75 M: The mouthfeel is the best part of the brew. Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Very pleasant creaminess. 3.0 D: Pretty unimpressive amber ale. DavoleBomb, Jul 08, 2013

bottle, from jaghana, merci! Amber-golden with a beige head. Malty, hints of nuts and caramel, some chocolate. Good.

Darker than ’normal’ lager. Small white head. Pure malt flavoured. There is a flavour at back of tongue that I can’t quite place but which adds plenty to this beer. Very nice with a slight and unexpected bitter finish.

Clear copper with a large slightly off-white head that dissipates quickly. Very sweet and slightly floral aroma. Plenty of malt flavours, quite sweet, a little floral, slightly earthy. Decent, not outstanding.

downender (9003) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2014
Bottle from a B&M Bargains. Pale amber in colour with a short-lived, off-white, head. Slightly tired cereal malts, grassy, bittering, hops and a yeasty finish. Ok.

Bottle. A gift from Button. I’m beginning to think he doesn’t think too much of me. Clear, copper colour. Filmy, white head. Sweet, fruity hop. Hint of biscuit malt. Taste is sugary, then dry. Thin palate. Dry on the finish.

Sampled @ ChrisO after GBBF day 2. Clear golden to light amber color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, quite bitter, lightly a sweetish grainy touch.

Copper coloured with little head, lovely body and not over carbonated. This is actually a lovely smooth lager with a full flavour

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden amber to orange with a small off white head. Bitter, light fruity and ligt herbal. Bitter, dry and hoppy into the finish.

2.1
McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2014
Bottle from Waitrose in East Cowes. Pours out in a light amber colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of barley and light malt. Taste of old malt, light barley, mild hops, old bread and sour berries. Just a very unpleasant and untasty mixture. Unbalanced. Not that bad, but quite awful stuff.
