3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brown in color. Thick billowy tan head. Not much lace. Tiny bubble, good carbonation. Very good hop, malt mix, tart, semi dry. Kind of blah at the end.
Aromas florales y herbales. Moderado aroma a caramelo. Tiene un sabor a malta tan intenso como lo permite una lager y un cuerpo ligero medio. El final, sin embargo, no tiene ningún toque dulce. Por el contrario, su amargor herbal tiene ligeras notas de césped, además de la buena carbonatación,. Towey1989 (3270) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2017
Can at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear deep amber colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, some dark fruits and subtle toasted malts. Taste of caramel, dark fruits, some toasted malts, slight grain, a hint of resin and subtle herbal hops. Light bodied but a sticky texture. A sweetish, fruity finish. Decent amount of flavour in this and no off flavours. Just a little bit to sticky, sweet and only a touch of hop. For a lager, no crispness which is needed. For a bitter, not bad at all. Overall ok. jooilakon (277) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2017
330 ml bottle from Flavourly Ltd (with a Point Amber Lager (UK) label). Aromas of malts, plum, caramel. Small egg-shell white head, cloudy amber body. Taste is sweet malts, plum, honey. Aftertaste is sweet and fruity. Interesting and quite nice but not my style. Atom (2576) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 21, 2017
12oz bottle pours a clear deep amber with a large khaki head. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma with dry mild hop spice. Taste of semi-sweet caramel toffee malt lager yeast and bitter grassy hops hit the palate before the malt gets too sweet, corn in there. Weird balance. pours a clear rich amber with a smallish off white head. mild malty aroma. thin body with high carbonation. not bad tasting. semi-sweet finish with a little carbonation bite. not bad, not great. drpimento (3761) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 28, 2016
Aroma, muted, is a mix of toasted malt, and solvents. Flavor has the toasted malt come out and become the best part of this beer. Body is a little off, bit thin, slightly over carbonated. Still, not a bad brew. jjsint (3496) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2016
Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Golden brown and clear as a bell, with massive carbonation creating only a thin white head. Gummy aroma reminiscent of tree sap and envelope glue. Sweet resinous taste with slight earthy hop in the finish. I’m quite find of this, especially considering it isn’t one of my favourite styles.
