3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper pour with a 1 finger creamy tan head. Aroma is full of fruity, pine, and tea like herbal hops, a decent amount of caramel, toast and a little toffee. Flavor is caramel and toast up front, some husky grain, mineral notes and a light, planty woodiness, thistle-like floral hops, tea like herbal hops, pine, old dry citrus and a little cat box hoppiness. Medium body with a medium sharp and blanketing carbonation and a dry, mineral water feel after an initially somewhat syrupy entry. Not bad overall, the hop blend is different, but I like it.
Bottle from GBBF 2017 and drunk at home. Clear dark amber colour lasting cream head. A bit of toffee. But mostly hop. Good resin piney hop. Some bitterness on the finish. It’s a decent hoppy toasty toffee flavour with some hop bitterness on the finish. LJ182 (7) - - JUL 25, 2017 does not count
This IPA hit all the right notes with me. The piney aroma greets the nose with an inviting greeting. Obviously, the dominant flavors are what you would expect from an IPA: citrus and pine on the hops side but toasty, nutty and bready on the malt side. This is just a delicious, flavorful IPA that I keep going back to. I love seeing an old guard brewery like Point hit one out of the park in the craft brewing realm.

Taste: crisp fresh hops that tickle the pallet with a mellow malt background. Same with the nose. Gold, mostly clear, tall head of foam and sticky lace, Medium body. lello4ever (1068) - ITALY - JAN 18, 2017
Colore quasi ambra, schiuma biancastra fine di media persistenza. Naso ok con note di pino, frutta tropicale. Bevuta discreta con Carbonazione abbastanza elevata, sempre note di pino, erbe, pompelmo, piuttosto secca. Corpo medio. Non mi ha colpito. Skyview (6076) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2016
So this is the Point IPA that was first introduced to the UK market before us local Wisconsin Cheeseheads. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing and a film top. Aroma of multi-citrus zest, golden grain malt, some light pine and a touch of caramel. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, pine, a touch citrus zest and some papaya. Finish is semi-sweet with a short sharp spiced bitterness followed by a touch of tropical fruit and caramel malt. Not your high caliber west-coast IPA but an average pepperoni pizza IPA. Tongue shock recovery time, approx 1.5 minutes.

Not bad but just slightly below average. Taste is a bit funky but good overall. BeerInHeaven (456) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 20, 2016
pours a clear copper amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is mostly floral with some light tangerine citrus. Fruity flavor profile. Some pine. Not real citrusy. Some mild bitter comes through in the end. Different, but not bad at all. Aggiebob (1178) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JAN 29, 2016
Bottle. Pale gold with a white head. Citrus aroma with some grapefruit and pine flavor. arkurzynski (2446) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 27, 2015
Deep orange. Catty pine, perfumey citrus, orange, and mild tropical fruit. Flavor is more pine and tropical fruit with sweet caramel. Lingering grapefruit and bitter citrus rind. Tacky caramel. Better than rates.
