COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

355ml bottle bought last July at Sourced Market, St Pancras in London. Two finger sized, near white head, fine retention and lacing. Cloudy golden body. Grassy hops on the nose. Flavoured with hops promoting pineapples and peaches. Bittersweet fruity endnotes. Smooth and rather easy going (shared with Finn, Tromsø 05.03.2014).

BVery (11488) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bottle at Minneapolis Beer Fest. Slightly hazy light orange pour. Main feature is mild grapefruit on the nose and taste, but not much else going on.

DocLock (11214) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2007
Bottle from Capone’s. Dark straw pour with smallish head. Aroma is bready caramel malt, Cascadey dry hops, lemongrass, mild black peppery notes. Tastes very dry hoppy, with too much of a hop bill to match the malt bill. Another average beer. Nothing was really offensive here, but nothing really stood out either.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2013 Had this at the Cleveland Arms, Paddington, London, Saturday 17th August 2013 Pours gold with white head. Rather to much toffee for me. It was moderately refreshing, busy carbobation but all in all lacked a hoppy bite. Drinking this made me realise just how good the new wave of better UK micros are. This was really disappointing. GABF 2011. Clear brilliant gold, no head. Floral and pine hop aroma with a subdued toffee note. Flavor is crisp and hoppy, with floral and pine resin bitterness, with some mild balancing pale malt grain sweetness. Hoppy but pretty well balanced.

marcus (10953) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 6, 2007
On tap at Hop Leaf (Chicago). This light amber ale poured with a thin off-white head. It’s very hoppy and carbonated, and serves as a refreshing drink on a hot day.
