Point Nude Beach is the perfect summer pleasure. Available only during the warm months of summer, this lively and unfiltered wheat ale is well balanced using "au naturel" raw and red wheat, then delicately finished with Yakima hops. With a refreshing light flavor, Point Nude Beach is perfect while enjoying summer activities or just hanging out with friends. Clothing optional.

I didn’t have high hopes for this after reading some of the other ratings, but I’m here to tell ya that I was very impressed with this brew. From a bottle, it poured a hazy yellow-orange with sizable white head. Decent lacing. Fairly subtle aroma of wheat bread and maybe a touch of mown grass. Wheaty initial taste--and wheaty all the way through. Minor hopping in the fiinish. Probably the smoothest wheat beer I’ve ever had; more body than I was expecting too. Less sharp than Capital’s Island Wheat, with more moderate carbonation as well. Very nice, and a bargain to boot.

Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #76. 12 ounce bottle drunk at my parents’ house, August 2008. Hazy gold with a bit of quick-subsiding foam...light lemony-tart nose, just the faintest hint of sourdough...boring, fairly bland, lightly tart in the taste department...reasonably full throughout, moderate carbonation, I guess there’s a decent "wheaty" character in the body, but not too much else. Not poorly made, but ultimately not interesting either.

bottled - cloudy golden color. Wheaty, slightly off aroma. Good, refreshing summery flavor.

Aggie80 (828) - Michigan, USA - JAN 18, 2016
Gol pour with some head and lacing. Nice and crisp, even on a winter day! Caramel malt is the predominant flavor, with just a touch of sweetness andno real bitterness in the aftertaste.

LetsGoState (910) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 23, 2015
Appearance is hazy amber. Aroma is wheat. Taste is a little tart with hints of wheat. Overall not the best.

12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy golden with diminishing white head. Aroma of grains and spice. Tastes sweet at first, then grainy. Sweet finish.

beerbaaron (2046) - Arizona, USA - AUG 7, 2015
Unclear medium yellow. Fluffy white head. Wheat. Honey. Bit of lemon. Cereal. A somewhat unpleasant wet grain character. No bitterness. On the sweeter side. Light body with a zippy carbonation. Does the job as a decent summer refresher.

GIJOE (1256) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Pours a hazy pale amber with a finger of creamy off-white foam. Nose is malty with hints of cardboard and sprite. Taste is on the sweet side, also a bit soda-like. Touch of citrus comes through. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Not bad.

superspak (6011) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 27, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/5/2015. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, light banana/clove, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, light banana/clove, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal floral/grassy bitterness and slight wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pear, apple, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale. All around good robustness, balance, and complexity of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle sample. Hazy yellow golden with a white head. Aroma - yeasty, fruity, cardboard, quite stale. Taste - sweet, oxidized, fruity, dry-ish finish. Too old.
