Very true to the style very similar to the German counterparts. Medium amber clear color. Small white quickly dissipating head. Carmel malt aroma. Thin texture and light body. jmm635 (1009) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 13, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2012 Clear, orange in color with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel malt, biscuit, slightly earthy. Flavor is spicy, late bitterness. Quite smooth. LetsGoState (886) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2010
Aroma is of sweet bready malt. Taste is also a bready, but almost roasted. Overall not the best, but not bad either. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Bottle. Love Marzen beers and this is a good one. Amber copper color. Malty, nutty taste. Aroma is candy corn, hay, love it. coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Twist off Bottle via UDBeernut in box with returned growlers. A pleasant deep orange in tall glass with a thick white healthy head. Sweet malt, grass and tubas in the nose. Body is central with malt light graininess, and a bit wishy-wahsy water. Accordions and lederhosen optional. Body meanders back onto path for a crisp quick finish that leads directly to the next sip.

Look: clear amber gold with medium nuoted carbonation. Plus sized top that was rather short lived. Some rings on glass. 3-
Taste/palate etc: medium bodied. Quiet clean lager feel, smooth body , good malt with light floral hop to it. Quiet nice , drinkable Okto. One of better ones on market.
Pours a dark amber color with a fairly small head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, mild sweetness and bit of grain. Taste of roasted malt, nice malt sweetness and bit of grain in the background. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, smooth with a good balance. Enjoyable beer, better than I expected. douglas88 (9187) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 29, 2014
Bottle from chicken chucks. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A light sweet malty nose with some dust. The flavor is big sweet malts, toffee, caramel, light fruit. Very good. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 15, 2014
12 oz bottle from the sampler case. Just sorta so-so, with very little to recommend The overall flavor was weak. Should have had more body and taste. BrianHagmeier (299) - Coralville, Iowa, USA - SEP 1, 2009
