Dark amber with light, off white head / Simple caramel syrup nose / Light body with little finish / Flavors of lightly burnt caramel with a little winter spice / Pleasant enough for a non-craft beer. heemer77 (5366) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - NOV 7, 2007
The body is light orangeish brown with a dense light beige head. The aroma is light shortbread cookies with some caramel. This smells like a dunkel to me. The taste has some light hints of bubblegum and a little bit of roast. Finishes with some definite banana notes. There is a hint of cinnamon hiding in the body. Not a bad effort, especially considering it came from Point. JPDIPSO (6325) - Wauwatosa, USA - NOV 5, 2007
Light chestnut color with a moderate somewhat dissipating off-white head. Aromas of dark caramel and lightly roasted malt. Some hints of yeast and herbal/grassy hops as well. Light toasted malt with a mix of brown sugar. Certainly more heft than the typical small macro. Mild influences of hops and yeast. A stronger amber with some mild Belgian tendencies.
