Poured a deep orange color from the growler with aromas of pumpkin, spice, caramel and some light sugar. Flavors were mellowed sweet pumpkin and light spice. This was a pleasant surprise thanks Geiger for sharing.

Amber pour with a cream head. Nose is heavy spices, nutmeg, pumpkin, chewy, sticky. Nice palate, nutmeg, caramel, sweet, sticky, and a spicy finish.

The body was dark copper with a yellowish head. The nose has nutmeg and pumpkin. There is a little caramel. The taste is pumpkin rind and nutmeg. The finish is a little woody. This is a little too much vegetable.

12 oz. Clear orange-amber with a lasting disc of cream on top. Aroma is lots of cinnamon, caramel and hints of cherry cola. Taste is nearly all cinnamon up front, with cherry cola and then some occasional nice flashes of earthy caramelized pumpkin flesh. Some leafy hop almost makes an appearance as well. Nice little touch of roast on the finish. Medium body has low-average carbonation and is pretty well balanced. Another over-spiced pumpkin, but not as much as some.

Mahogany color with a quickly falling medium head. Aroma of nutmeg and cloves. A restrained nutmeg flavor, dash of cinnamon. Very biscuity. Solid malt. Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

Plum color with a pink head, and a thick head at that. Great aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and allspice. Tastes like pumpkin, cream, and spice with a healthy bite. One of the best pumpkin ales Ive had. Good, bitter finish.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of pumpkin, spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, pie crust, and some pumpkin pie. Poured orange in color with a small, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of pumpkin, spice, and pumpkin pie. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, slightly bitter, pumpkin, spice, and pie finish is slightly sticky and slightly dry. 7.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Pours clear, deep red-copper with a modest and weak tan head. More spicy in the flavor and feel than in the nose, particular the cinnamon component. Perhaps due to a richer malt base, even with rather bold spicing this pumpkin is not over-spiced. Those not liking cinnamon much will disagree; this has enough cinnamon to, I think, add a slight burn to the feel. O: tasty!

A very decent pumpkin beer. The aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, and pepper is great. The flavor is surprisingly balanced between malty vegetable and the spicy characteristics youd expect from a pumpkin beer.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2015 Intrigued by this at the 2015 Lakeshore Beverage Trade Show in Chicago, so I was generously offered a 12 oz. bottle to enjoy once more at home. Poured to a mini Czech-pils glass, showing a clear, coppery amber color, with a frothy, persistent layer of tan head foam, and lacing of clingy ribbons & spots. The nose presented some caramel apple sweetness to start, then a perfumey, expressive, and balanced blend of pie spices, with an additional scent of pumpkin puree. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste added a bit of estery tanginess, moderate, earthy bitterness, and a touch of alcohol warmth to the finish. Sometimes Ive missed with Point offerings, but this was a successfully balanced & tasty seasonal. Next time on tap at Millers Ale House in Lombard, IL.. Same clear, coppery amber and presentable head & lacing, with an aroma of expressive pie spices highlighting cinnamon & clove, with mellower nutmeg toward the back. Pumpkin was more evident in the taste, along with a medium, earthy bitterness. Same successful outcome.
