Pours dark ruby reddish amber. Very small white head. Aroma is flat out pumpkin pie; pumpkin, tasteful use of spice - really smells good. Flavor matches expectations of aroma. Just enough sweetness, spice, and hop presence - touch of alcohol. Its stays a ’beer’, which is really a compliment. Medium body. Very well done. This is good. Possibly the best overall pumpkin beer I’ve had. basaywhat (281) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Bottle. Very pumpkiny and spicy, finishes with a very straightforward light beery flavor. Sweet flavors, initially sweet taste, finishes drier. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves. I really liked this beer. One of the best versions out there. Onslow (1496) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Pour form a 12oz bottle. Deep orange/brown slightly cloudy brew with small tan head. Great aroma of earth, pumpkin and mild spices. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, an ineffable pumpkin quality and mild spices. Ends with a beautifully balanced bitterness that slakes the sweet pumpkin pie flavor and leaves the palate clean, save for a bit of ethanol. A remarkably good pumpkin brew! dreamflower (790) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 28, 2014
Bottle shared with northropfrye via cards04. Smells and tastes like pumpkin pie! OMG! OMG! Finishes watery and not such a great appearance or palate but OMG the pumpkin pie smell and taste. Kudos to them for nailing this! drpimento (3641) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Poured this at a perfect temperature with a small fizzy head that promptly disappeared, no lace and a clear brown color. Aroma is spicy pumpkin pie and more bold than the flavor. This is one of the better pumpkin beers where the flavors are not so overpowering. There is some balance; malts can be tasted; still not one of my favorite kinds of beers but this isn't bad. Good body. Decent finish with a very slight hint of alcohol.

Pour to snifter, a thick and murky blood red/orange with little head. Nose is quite literally pumpkin pie, little bit graham cracker, some cider. Flavor holds up to the robust nose, brimming with warm spices, balanced mouthfeel and a forgiving carbonation. A very great offering! jflopsu (1615) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Pours a hazy amber-orange. Has an incredibly strong cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. A sweet taste from cinnamon and nutmeg with some malts, caramel, and spices. A medium body with lingering cinnamon and spices. dfinney23 (3278) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Outstanding pumpkin beer with a perfect blend of pumpkin and spice that still tastes like a beer. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 27, 2009
I’m very impressed with the Whole Hog lineup, I hope they keep it going with other beer. Poured a semi cloudy amber colour with a huge frothy top. Instant nutmeg, pumpkin and cinnamon notes right away. Taste was nice and spicey, creamy and delicioso! No Pumking for sure, but it was damn good anyway! jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 18, 2011
Draft at Jerry’s. Amber with light beige head / Sweet nose of pumpkin, caramel, and spice / Medium body, soft carbonation, somewhat chewy, sweet, and sticky, with good balance and finish / Well balanced flavors of pumpkin, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove / Pretty much as advertised, and a nice job by Point.
