Picked up a four-pack at Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear dark brown amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, toffee, light floral hops and a touch of maple. Taste is full-bodied, malty, with flavors of sweet toffee, caramel and a hint of maple. Finish is semi-sweet, quite smooth with a maple and toffee aftertaste, with a touch of honey. A 120-shilling Scotch ale profile without the extra alcohol.

Bottle thanks to Tim. Pours a clear copper with small white head that lasts. The aroma is caramel, toffee, and candy. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, candy sugar, light booze, really good.

Aroma is malts, light fruit and milk/lactic. The flavor is fruit/berries, malts, mild sweetness and a mix of tart and slight heat in the finish.

Darn it - accidentally bought two of these in my build-your-own six pack. The good news is that it’s a decent beer. Not much scotch flavor though.

Pours a cola color with 3/4 inches of foam tan head and almost molasses richness in the aroma. Caramel and toffee taste in the malty first sip. Maybe a little port flavor in there? Somewhat of a thin mouthfeel but then again this isn’t a stout... Slight drying finish. Very nice!

From a bottle. Pours almost clear copper brown with a thin, fizzy white head. Tastes like roasted malt, very nutty, alcohol, wood, creamy. Light body and low carbonation. Smells nutty, sweet, like light alcohol, wood, molasses.

Bottle:   Deep brown sugar, spotty lacing, moderate to minor frothy sandy head.   Sweet bready aroma, some dark pitted fruit, a little peat.   A touch of caramel malt too.   Light to moderate sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Quick finish, not much from the start lingers into the finish.   Seems a slightly lighter example, wished it were a bit more robust.   Thanks Bob!
