Bottle from Ruprecht_007, thanks! Deep dark brown color. caramel and chichory in the aroma. Thinnish, yet malty sweet, caramelly flavor with licorice and roast. Very tasty, the roast compensates the sweetness. Surprisingly easy drinker. Licorice, caramel and laurel in the finish. pivnizub (10618) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 10, 2011
Draught: Clear, reddish-amber coloured, very slowly collapsing off-white head; moderate sweetish caramelly-toasty nose; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, but n o t t o o sweet , almost medium bodied; becomes slightly drier towards the distinctive caramelly and bitter finish. 0.5L bottle bought @Pivoňka, Hradec Králové. Tall foamy beige-blond head. Body is clear, almost brilliant, very deep reddish ruby. Nice smell of gently toasted bready malts, fresh red berry-like fruitiness, and some light perfumed grassy hops. Surprisingly fruity flavor. Like sweetened cranberries. Also some lightly toasted malts and faint burnt caramel. Discreetly hopped. A light fruity acidity underneath. Medium full. Soft in the mouth. Some berry fruity endnotes. Quite unusual, but is very tasty and drinks good.
