Pale lager with golden color. Malty aroma and malty taste. Little sourness at the tounge with slightly bitter aftertaste. Drinkable

Erzengel (9078) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAY 20, 2016
Bottle from a Eastern-European supermarket in Wuppertal. The beer starts very grainy and watery-neutral. Smooth and sessionable, but lots of grain and neutral bitterness. Not much sweetness, round and fresh, smooth and grainy dry in the aftertaste.

Полтава Жигулів& - Poltava Zhygulivs’ke. 0,5L bottle 4,4% abv, 11’. Made 30 august серпня 2013. Bought in a hypermarket in Poltava, enjoyed at Kremenchuk’s Day. Scents of sweet malts, strawberry, cinnamon, syrup. Fragile white head on a yellow golden body. Tastes grain, malty hops, malts, barbecue, wood. Mouthfeel nice, a bit sweet though. Aftertaste; malts again, wood, brown sugar, fading into the dark. Overall a decent drink, a very sweet tasting beer.

vinivini (2661) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUL 2, 2016
Straight from bottle. Smells of cereals, minimal yeast. Light body. Thin. Barley & bread on flavour. Clean. Tiny bitterness only in aftertaste.

Will finish the bottle, because it is drinkable. Don’t really like the sourish aftertaste.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 28, 2012
Draft at park kiosk Kiev. Gold with a lasting small head Aroma of wet pale malt, damp cereal, and pale spent grain Oily palate. Almost too clean for the style, low diacetyl, its a pretty drinable one, but the oily palate makes it a true zhiguly. A decent one. Not bad for 8 hv ($1). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

sinfull (1728) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2013
Golden color with medium white head. Bread, yeast and malty aroma. Taste is more cleaner then Zhigulivske from USSR ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ectuohy27 (1200) - ESTONIA - FEB 12, 2016
Pretty terrible rust-malt aroma, and the rest isn’t much better, with the skunky taste I associate with the zhyhulivske/zhigulovskoe genre definitely present. This one is however much yeastier, which improves things, though I wouldn’t necessarily return to this one
