33cl bottle. Thanks to DutchDrebus. Apperance: Red brownish body, with a medium sized beige head. aroma: Malts, Caramel, alcohol a bit of red and dark Fruit ,candy Sugar and spices. Taste: Sweet, candy Sugar, dark fruit, alcohol a bit boozy, with some spices and lacks complexity. Medium body and allmost no carbonation. Not the best quad, but drinkable, main issue was the even becomming annoying allmost flat carbonation incombination with a bit to little complexity in the taste. Which seems to be off, compared to other ratings.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2018 Heel behoorlijke quad. Niet erg alcoholisch, licht warm, wellicht iets aan de zoete kant. Overall lekker.

Murky/hazy brown pour with yeast floating, and with hardly a tan head, diminishing quickly to no head. Aroma: again flat / faint; is this the third Pontus brew in a row with a striking weak nose (or have I got a cold)?? Aroma is -if somethign at all- sweet, syrupy, dark fruits. Taste is more than medium sweet and light bitter. Syrupy mouthfeel, flat carbonation, surprisingly not very alcoholic. Well, I'm not really impressed; I miss depth, richness, complexity...

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a small off-white head and an aroma of sweet malts, toffee, honey, maple syrup, sweet spices and overripe fruits. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with enough complexities to keep this interesting. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, toffee, yeast, dried dark fruits, raisins, spicy notes, candy, touch of nuts and ripe pear, with some alcohol. Flavour is rather sweet. Body is a little above medium. Fine example of a Quad, well done Pontus.

Thank you for sharing Klaas! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark red cough syrup, amber, little bubbles only. This bottle is a bit too young, carbonation is close to being absent. Taste is very herbal medicinal cough syrup, plant. Taste is herbal cough syrup, DE yeast, so cloying herbal medicinal, sugar. Lack of carbonation is not an issue here but that medicinal herbal Belgian Ale sweetness that is has going is far too much & not my thing, maybe a bit more time will lessen that. A good beer for some but not really my thing.

Shared at RBBSG 2017. Slightly murky mahogany colour. Aroma is banana liqueur and banana bread. Taste is incredibly sweet with port, whiskey, and bananas. Not a fan of bananas, sadly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
