Hommel is the local abbreviation of humulus, from the botanical name for the hop plant. Confusingly, it also means bumble bee in Flemish. Poperings Hommelbier is a hoppy, golden-bronze, ale. It is made from a blend of winter, summer and aromatic pale malts.

Flaska belgoklubben. Guldisig vätska. Doft av jäst, hö, örter och aprikos. Smått stallig. Smak av ovanstående med kryddig ton. Diskret beska

33cl bottle. Aroma of fruits, bread, hay, earth. Pours hazy orange blond with a fading large head. Taste is fruits, grass, minimal sweet. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Luneylane (174) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - MAY 16, 2017
A bottle from Beers of Belgium, shared with Dad whilst on leave. Aroma: fresh bread, fruit. Appearance: hazy amber, very generous lively head. Palate: medium-bodied and creamy, lively carbonation. Long, predominantly sweet finish. Taste: very well-balanced, medium sweet, a noticeable kick of booze at the end. Great beer, glad I bought the 750ml. bottle.

ramboraffe (2240) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 6, 2017

Bottle at Pochenellekelder. Hazy orange color with huge white head. Aroma is buttery, fresh hopspice, grassy. Taste is buttery, green hops. High carbonation, but soft mouthfeel with a pleasant aftertaste. Nice!

Bottle pours light brown with white head. This is sweet and a little bit of pumpkin pie spice. Honey like sweetness with a mild hop after taste. Pretty good beer
