Originally only a single batch was made named "Poppels Projekt 001 Dubbel IPA".
By popular demand and winning "Best Swedish Beer 2013" by members vote at BeerSweden was decided to continue in production, though with the same recipe as the project beer.

New batch was released March 1, 2014, at Systembolaget under the (website) name "Poppels Dubbel IPA (nr 88888)".

kraddel (9338) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 24, 2017
Pours unclear blonde. Medium white head, medium low stability. Smell is full, grassy, floral, sweet side to it ( fruity ) . Taste is full, intense, bit bitter. Doughy malty, bit herbal in a negative, but not disturbing way.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2017 Bottle from Flavourly. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of resin and citrus. Taste is marmalade, more resin. Clean finish. Very drinkable.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 Distinkta smaker från både malt och humle samt citrus med den kalibern att de står emot den höga alkoholhalten gör denna rekommendabel och lättdrucken.

Bottle, bb 5/18. 9C. Hazy amber with a 1cm of white head. Aroma of kumquats, grapefruit, Seville orange, light herbal and pine notes, bread. Reminds me of De Ranke XX a bit (tho' it turns out not to taste much like it). Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Nearly the full spectrum of citrus here - nothing really toppy, but peel, grapefruit, kumquat, grilled verging on caramelized. Pale malt with some crusty caramel melds into it, bitterness is medium high. Won't be for everyone but I loved it.

Karmelowo-cytrusowe zapachy; ładnie pachnące piwo. W odczuciu trochę ciężkie, karmelowo-grejpfrutowe. Dobrze zrobione piwo, nic tam nie wystaje. Pewnie klasyk. Dla mnie po prostu bardzo dobre, ale nie porywające.

Muggus69 (2807) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - OCT 12, 2017
330mL bottle from Slowbeer. BB 12.05.2018 Pours a somewhat murky looking orange gold body with dense head. Good hop driven nose - orange, lime, pine, pineapple, passionfruit, leafy resin with a decent measure of toasty, pale caramel malt. Body quite thick, chewy, booze quite well hidden, lowish carbonation. Juicy body - bitter orange, mango, paw paw, resiny sap, good toasty maltiness in there adds length soaks up some of the bitterness. Rather yummy, moreish - booze sneaks up!

Thunderverb (125) - Visby, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2017
Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste of citrus and pine with good malt presence. Balanced but not so much wow.
