COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Originally only a single batch was made named "Poppels Projekt 001 Dubbel IPA".
By popular demand and winning "Best Swedish Beer 2013" by members vote at BeerSweden was decided to continue in production, though with the same recipe as the project beer.

New batch was released March 1, 2014, at Systembolaget under the (website) name "Poppels Dubbel IPA (nr 88888)".

A dipa that’s not so hop forward, but more focus on the malt and balance, and it is really balanced! Some fruit, malt sweetness, medium bitterness! Nice!

Bottle from a bottle swap, thanks Hopmaestro!

Light tropical aroma, rather hoppy. Sweet and fruity, very pleasantly hoppy and full. Rather smooth and nicely carbonated

Floral hops, sweet caramel and bread malts, straw, bitter citrus fruits, bitter orange. Hazy gold, medium, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More grain malts, fragrant flowers, medium sweet grain malts, tropical fruits, overripe mango, soft carbonation. Alright IIPA, could do with more complexity. Bottle from Independent Spirit, Bath.

12 ounce bottle from Kod and Bajer. Nice deep orange with some really nice tropical fruit notes and citrus.

It pours a hazy amber colored body with a slightly beige head. The aroma is so fruity! As soon as I opened the bottle tons of grapefruit, pineapple, mango, orange and a bubble gum characters just bursted out! It’s really tropical and insanely juicy! The taste is just as tropical and fruity. Loads and loads of juicy, sweet pineapple, mango, papaya and grapefruit notes. I’m almost certain that Mosaic hops has been used for this beer. And if the bitterness really is 80 IBUs it is masked really well! It drinks easy, with a juicy and slightly piney aftertaste. This is damn solid!

0,33l bottle. Cloudy golden/copper colour with long lasting but shrinking big foamy white head. Aroma: Pine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple. Taste: Very sweet fruity start with a medium strong bitter mouthfeel. Has a soft buttery tone with medium body and carbonation. Long fruity bitter/dry finish. Well done dipa.

Muy buen aroma y selección de lúpulo, lo único que le falla es la falta de cuerpo y de gasificación

Flaske. Den bedste som man kunne forvente. Rigtig lækker fyldig dipa med en god duft og smag men mundfylden er det bedste. Balanceret tilmed. Lækker.

beer-yum (1714) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 4, 2017
Alluring tropical and citrus fruit aroma in a golden pour. Laid back hop forward balance with a fruity body and laid back bitter finish makes this an excellent example of the style. Only problem is part and parcel of the style - it’s too strong to indulge in the quantities one would want.
