gunnar (9696) - Sandnes, NORWAY - NOV 17, 2017
Bottle at DSJT, Cardinal. Pours hazy dark amber with a huge frothy off-white head. Aroma of spiced up dark malts. Taste is moderate sweet , creamy dark malts, OK beer.

Mycket gott.

Very deep, brown body with a small, frothy, tan, short-lived head. Strong aroma of roasted malt, dark caramel, and chocolate, with spices in the back. Strong flavour of roasted malt, dark caramel, chocolate, and generic fruits, with dark dried fruits, and liquorice in the back. Light sweet and light bitter taste. Light and watery mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. As always a tasty beer from Poppels, but not one of their best.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 4 months after BB date, from Vinmonopolet Ullevål, Oslo]

larsga (7656) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2017
Medium brown head with relatively large bubbles and active fizzing, shrinks fast. Opaque black body. Earthy licorice chocolate aroma with soy sauce notes. Sweetish earthy spicy chocolatey taste with mineraly soy sauce notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flattish mouthfeel, despite the prickling from rough carbonation. Sweetish earthy licorice aftertaste with sooty mineraly notes. Nice, drinkable. Certainly has character. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen. I think. Could be Sweden.)

Aroma; dark caramel, sweet fruit, coffee note, prune pudding. Look; beige film, darkest brown body. Taste; dark caramel, roasted malt, dark fruit, sweet dark bread. Finish; liquorice note, coffee note, lots of sweet dark bread. Feel; okay body and co2. Overall; easy brew, could’ve had more body. [33cl.btl5.5% [email protected]&bierIII]

Flaska. Mörkt brun öl med ett beige skum. Doft av choklad och kaffe I smaken tillkommer russin och vanilj. Torr munkänsla. Något tunn för att vara en porter.

Dry porter, rosted dark chocolate taste, long nice aroma. Nice appearance. Excellent bitter that stays, low sweetness which is perfect to fish (e.g. Salmon) or lamb

3.4
Grumbo (3974) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - APR 30, 2017
Bottle received in my second trade with Thomas - cheers! Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, nut, and lightly smoked. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. Finish is a little dry, nutty and bittersweet.
