COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Originally only a single batch was made named "Poppels Projekt 001 Dubbel IPA".
By popular demand and winning "Best Swedish Beer 2013" by members vote at BeerSweden was decided to continue in production, though with the same recipe as the project beer.

New batch was released March 1, 2014, at Systembolaget under the (website) name "Poppels Dubbel IPA (nr 88888)".

Habanero (4773) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2017
Bottled. Pours clear deep golden wian average off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, flowers, citrus zest and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice DIPA.

minutemat (5814) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2017
330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty golden orange, fair off-white head. Aroma chucks out some decent resinous orange, with some tropical nods. Taste takes the baton and runs with a decent sweet character, not overly so, re-visiting the fruity moments that greeted you in the aroma with additional citrus and apricot. Decent DIPA.

On tap at Noble Hops, Redfern. Pours a golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma: Citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine aromas. Taste: Citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, passionfruit, pine flavours. Medium body. Resinous texture. Mildly sweet. Mild hoppy aftertaste. Very tasty. Hides its alcohol more than most double IPAs do.

kaserov (888) - Oviedo, SPAIN - AUG 21, 2017

jamesie1857 (2273) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2017
330ml bottle from Turners, Sheffield -. Cloudy amber body with a huge fluffy off-white head. Nose is pretty strong and piney, with resinous and citrusy hoppy notes. Taste is has a sweet caramel malt frontage, pine, citrus, booze, barley sugar sweets. Big thick gobful of mouthfeel, very oily. Nice, but dangerously glugable.

orbit (136) - Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2017
Nice DIPA, but no gold trophy or anything, just decent taste and smell, but no extraordinary stuff. But very conventional style, would appeal to a wide range of beer drinkers, this one.
