3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
The color was cloudy orange/brown. The head was very thin, barely there. The aroma was very fruity, citrisy, hoppy, and sweet. The flavor was very strong, very hopy, sweet, pine, and waxy/bitter at the finish. The palate was very thick with no carbonation.
From May 2008
This one pours a clear orange amber with a 2 finger head of foam and some nice sticky lacing.
The smell got to me as soon as I popped the cap. Lots of cararmel malt greeted my smell buds. Now that I've popped the cap and am holding the glass to my nose, the malt is still there but I get a big dose of piney and grassy hops as well. Overall, the nose is nicely balanced.
The taste agrees with the nose. The malt and hops are really big and about equal. Caramel malt in abundance balanced by some strong piney hop flavour, a bunch of fruitiness that is all over the map, and a noticeable alcohol kick. Tasty for sure but the alcohol is a bit too prevalent for my liking. Maybe some aging will do some good.
It has a medium mouthfeel and the carbonation is on the light side. It finishes with a slightly sweet flavour and more of the alcohol.
Bottom line: This is a bit raw to me fresh and would probably benefit from some aging but as it is, it is still quite tasty and fairly drinkable. I'll have to try it again in the not too distant future because I think it has great potential... tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Rated on 6-19-2010 (Bottle) This beer pours a small, smooth, fizzyu ivory head that mostly diminished, orange golden body, no lacing, and fast rising carbonation. The Aroma is caramel malt, citrus, pine hops, and hints of fruit. The Taste is semi-sweet, boozy, caramel malts, citrus, and pine hops. The Palate is sharp and this beer is medium bodied. In conclusion, this beer is quaffable, a sipping beer, and a beer for hop heads. teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 14, 2013

Aroma is somewhat fruity with hops, sweetness and distant floral notes. Flavour has caramel, exotic fruits, hops, some alcohol and biscuits. Too low on hops, too high on alcohol and sweetness. Probably would have been better fresh.
big thick mouth, big pine and caramel. Big big and big. But fun and well balanced. Dry. Rounded. Big caramel and bitter finish. daje (4535) - NORWAY - AUG 26, 2012

Orange, big frothy head. Smells of pine, honey, some smoked malts, grass and herbs. Heavy sweet, fruity, alot of malt back bone. Very nice. Heavy bitter, pine and alot of resins and grass. Almost full bodied, super oily, average carbonation. This one had a surprising hop bill untypical what i’ve tried from Port Brewing earlier, and i’m glad they don’t just make similar beers with different malt backbone. This one is very good. Hope to try another anniversary too
Backlog. Had on draft (i think) at Lost Abbey a year or so ago, and never realized they had separate entries. Poured a bright, hazy orange body. Aroma is fresh citrus and bitter pine hop along with a nice malt presence. Mouthfeel is bitter with notes of citrus tang, bitter pine, grapefruit, orange, and sweet malt.
