Chunky hoppy sweet. If there was a IPA syrup for pancakes. Carmel hops light bite nose is citrus strong and apple and candy.

22oz bottle of 10 Year Anniversary Ale (11% this year) into a Corsendonk badged tulip (twice) on 3rd June 2016 while on holiday in California. Golden amber in colour with a little beige head of deep foam. The breweries description is spot on, I found this hoppy, piney and with a warming alcoholic depth from the first sniff and sip. I had the whole bottle with a cheese platter and salted biscuits, sharing neither the beer or cheese plate with anyone or thing (Frankie the dog looked on hopefully). Impressed. solidfunk (8943) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUN 2, 2016
Candied apple and lots of guava and citrus, mango. Golden amber pour with good head and lacing. Very bitter. And very nice all around. A little more complex than the hop concepts I just had. Tap at Sovereign Savor event. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - MAY 22, 2016
Draft at the Lost Abbey 10th Anniverary Party. Golden pour with decent head. Lots and lots of hops and sweet citrus aromas. Flavors if more hoppy deliciousness. Pretty good for a style that has been becoming less and less of a favorite. teddybeer (3782) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 22, 2016
Orangish color with a white head, good lacework and medium lasting. Aroma has hoppy notes, notes of orange peel, citrus and resins. Flavor has a good bitterness, citrusy hints, bittery orange and some peachy notes. Good bitterness in the final with good duration.

Label says 10th Anniversary and 11%. Just sayin’. Golden orange with a very subtle haze, two-finger thick white head and excellent lace. Aromas of citrus/tropical fruits, along with some floral/pine in the background. Flavor is dominated by a big hop bitterness - orange, tropical fruit, pine - supported with prominent caramel sweetness. Full body, moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a clean finish. Alcohol is present, but in the background. Achel (485) - Ioannina, GREECE - MAY 16, 2016
Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich flowers, hops, malt and caramel. Semi sweet finish. Very nicely balanced. sebwaw (77) - POLAND - APR 27, 2016
Served in teku. Colour is deep orange with copper highlights, very thick and frothy white head. Aroma is very balanced, quite malty with distinct piney and floral hops, great mix. Although a bit pinching. Its surprisingly oily in the beginning and sweet of course, then rapidly bitter, but not overwhelming. Lots of grassy and herbal hints. The initial taste is outstanding, you could mistake it as a ris with closed eyes for a second. Long and bitter finish. Truly great imperial IPA. May 13th, 2014 - Port Brewing’s Anniversary Ale is true to its origins, dank and intense and everything San Diego likes to see in his native sons/daughters. A paler brown and orange, much of the color of the beer is covered by the massive umbrella of the head, clotted and fluffy. The aroma is decorated with corn, some marijuana dankness, and a bit of soap, with a smaller accent of leather. Given how bold and outgoing the aroma is, the flavor starts surprisingly mild, almost tasteless. But it ramps up, boozy and dark with more weediness, and then shifts to a long, boozy aftertaste, sweetened with graham cracker, cheap whiskey and much later in the aftertaste, straight up ethanol. Cloudy orange pour with a light beige head. Aroma is malt and fruity hops. Taste is hoppy, grapefruit. A little bitter aftertaste from the hops. Nice malt backbone. Hoppy aftertaste. A little pine in the finish. Great lacing.
