COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Port Brewing beers are typically boldly-flavored American and hop-forward West Coast style ales or lagers, and Board Meeting Brown Ale is no exception. An amplified brown ale, the beer is brewed with liberal additions of coffee from local San Diego roasters, Ryan Brothers, and cocoa nibs sourced from famed San Francisco chocolate maker TCHO. Alcohol by volume is 8.5%.

“Board Meeting offers the malty richness and assertive hop presence that you expect in an American brown ale, but enhanced with pronounced roasted coffee and bitter chocolate aromas and flavors,” Arthur said. “I think people will enjoy this beer by itself and at the table paired with meat dishes like pork, roasts and barbeque. I imagine it’d be pretty good washing down a sausage omelet at breakfast too.”

Pours extremely dark, like motor oil. Definite coffee aroma. Burnt, dark roasted coffee. Creamy flavoring, hints of battery acid.

Wonderfully thick full and complex beer. Super dark and strong but stays true to a brown ale without venturing into stout category. Cornerhouse berkeley ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Beavertown Extravaganza'17. Brune, col beige.

Keg, BD Shepherds Bush. A really big beer. Huge molasses and coffee aroma. Pours hell black, big tan head. This is like a massively boozy after dinner coffee, with dark fruits in the back. Huge flavours. Awesome.

Keg at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush, London in Aug 2017 - Very dark brown in colour. Small tan head. Big coffee aroma. Very Malty; roast coffee, lots of coffee, chocolate, roasty malts, caramel, nuts. Hoppy; moderate hop bitterness. Sweet-bitter roast coffee malty throughout. Drying finish. Liked it. Tasty. Truly, an Imperial Brown Ale. (2017-08)

Kwg at Brewdog Camden. A deep nut brown coloured pour with a a lasting light tan head. Aroma is really earthy nutty, wood, bark, maple, cocoa. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty brown malts, milk, choc, smooth woody roast, peanut butter, hint of smoke in the finish. Palate is medium sweet, frothy east carbonation. Slightly creamy. Nice malt depth. Lingering coconut.
